90 days! (okay 89 1/2)

Jan 09, 2014

Tomorrow is my 3 month surgerversary!  I'm posting today because I don't think I will have a chance tomorrow.  This last month has been challenging.  Between having extra time off work, holidays goodies, everywhere, family get togethers..... aww family...., as I said, this last month has been challenging.

I have lost 39 lbs since my surgery, Im hoping to be down another lb tomorrow so I can call it an even 40.  Not record breaking, for anyone but me.  I've never lost so much so fast.

I already feel healthier.  I take more pride in how I dress. I just feel happier over all.

The worst part is dealing with peoples stupid comments.  And endless advice from people who have never had a weight problem!!!!!!!

I am most proud, that I started a support group in my small town.  We have about a dozen regular attendees and we meet once a month.  They are awesome people!  All different stages in their journey, different types of surgeries. But all awesome.

16lbs to go to onderland!!!!  I can't wait and I really believe I'll make it there.

Two Months

Dec 09, 2013

I made it 60 days.  It's been along time since I stuck to a plan for any where near 60 days. Here's what it's been like for me.....

I had serious "buyers remorse".  I was tired. I was sore. I couldn't hardly get my fluids in.  I missed eating, even though I didn't want to put anything down my throat.  Crazy Head Games!

week 2-4  I started feeling better and I was excited about the weight loss.  21 lbs in 30 days.  I had one week with no loss, and that was discouraging, but It has been a long time since I've been able to lose 21 lbs. Also, I started adjusting to the routine of eating and drinking.  Seems like I am constantly putting something in my mouth.  Nothing new about that.  Difference is what I'm putting in my mouth.

weeks 5-8  Life is getting back to normal.  I feel great.  I can eat more foods, just very small amounts. I only lost 9 lbs but I'm happy to be 30lbs less than I started.  Clothes are falling off me. It's very noticeable.  I'm down two pant sizes.  I'm learning how to eat out and plan my meals a little better.  It's been a little difficult with all the holiday parties going on.  I'll be glad to be on the other side of Christmas. But, even if I do eat something I shouldn't, I can only eat a bite or two!

Going into my 3rd month I'm so glad I had this done.  I probably would have gained weight over the last two months, and been miserable and guilt ridden. Instead, I'm losing weight and hopeful.
