About Me

Mar 14, 2011

I'm currently 34 years old and although I have no children, I have a shih tzu/poodle named Zoe.  I have been overweight for most of my life, although I was always referred to as being "big boned" (yeah right).   Although I'm morbidly obese, I'm very thankful that I don't have any major health issues related to the obesity; only sleep apnea, which is enough.

I never thought I would see the day that I would even think about having gastric bypass surgery, because I had negative views about the surgery and the people who had the surgery.  I now know that this is the best route for me to go, because I have tried so many methods to lose weight with no success.  Although hypothyroidism doesn't make me gain weight, it definitely makes it difficult to take it off.  Although I know this weight loss journey won't be easy, it will definitely be worth it.  This is a forever lifestyle change, but I'm ready for the ride.
