Where to begin...
I have been overweight for a portion of my life, here and there. I started out being a heavier girl when I was younger and in elementary school. As, I grew taller the weight thinned itself out. Then I stopped growing taller and the weight started coming on!!! I can only estimate that I was about a 14 in Jr. High School and I know that I was a 16 to 18 in High School. I was active on the Swimming Team when I was in High School, and that helped me lose and maintain for about 6 months out of the year. And then, Summer would come and I would go to my Summer job at the Ice Cream Shop and put it all back on. I remember the Summer before my Senior year, I put on 30 pounds. This was aweful for me. I knew that I was going to be miserable when I went back to school. I went back and started swimming that year, and it came off. I then graduated from High School, and got a Full-Time job, and it was so nice that one of the gals that I worked with wanted someone to join her in workouts at the YMCA. I then dropped to my all time low of 150 pounds. What a awesome feeling! It was a couple of years after that, that I met my now husband. I was on top of the world, with the feeling of "someone really cares for me, and if I was FAT then I was going to be single all my life." We dated for a few months, got engaged, married, and then had a new little one. This is when all of my weight started coming on and staying on. My oldest turned 7 today and I look back at where I was 7 years ago to where I am now, and what a difference. I was at my peak weight of 309 pounds in August 2005. This after 2 boys. I am today 9 months post-op at 164 pounds. And I couldn't be any happier. I have had nothing but great support from my husband, family and friends. I couldn't have done it without all of their support.
