Officially One Month!

Jun 15, 2009

So I am one month out and 27 pounds down.  I know that's not w whole lot but I didn't start out that heavy, so I am overly excited about my progress and my success so far.  I have friends who are noticing it, close fitting looser, and just tin general feeling better about everything! Food was a crutch for me and I have been reading this book called Mindful Eating which has helped me out alot. I am only like 1/4 of the way done with it, but I can still see a difference in myself and how I think about food. I went to my one month apt. last week and had a group meeting where I was able to see people from my same doctor who were one month to 6 months to one guy who was a year out.  It was so inspiring and helpful to get information and learn about other people and their experience.  I also got a few recipes from the nutritionist, one in particular that was AMAZING, and some work out stuff from the physical therapist.  I did join a yoga class, and without sweating for anything I was EXTREMELY sore the next day, so it was good to keep my muscles working.  I walk a bunch to also help with cardio stuff.  I am going to be going to Orlando and am way excited to be a little lighter and have tons of fun with my sorority! I just cant believe the experience of the first month has flown by, and I am so excited to see the many blessings God has in store for me in the next few months.
