The beginning

Well, last February, 2012 I was signed up to attend my first weight loss surgery education class.  The day before it, I canceled. My husband and I wanted to have another baby.

I became pregnant in May 2012, and only gained 17 pounds during my (3rd) pregnancy! Our littlest daughter was born 1/9/13. I lost all of my pregnancy weight within the first 2 weeks after my cesarean...and not another pound since then, despite calorie counting and breastfeeding.

Here I am, four months later:

• Chart started
• Paperwork turned in
• Doctors' records from past 5 years copied and sent in
• PCP referral letter
• Education class with support person attended
• Psych evaluation

And now the waiting begins! After the psych evaluation is completed and turned in, the facility will present my case to insurance and then I'll meet with the surgeon, and be scheduled for surgery!  They say that summer is the busiest season for them. I'm not so sure I'm ready to just jump up onto the table that quickly!  I'm really scared that I'm not mentally prepared or that I won't have the help I NEED!
