Surgery for my tummy tuck scar repair was Friday, October 3. I went under at 4:30 and was home by 11:00 p.m. I had several episodes of nausea before I got home and a few moments of light-headedness, but I got home to my bed and was fine. I have an incision that is pretty much all the way around my waist, minus about three inches on my back that is not cut. I laid around in my nightie all day Saturday but I got up and showered and dressed today and even went to the Dollar Tree with my mom and brother. I take several naps a day but feel good other than that. I am swollen and retaining fluids, so much fluid to the point of hearing it slosh. I was in the recliner this morning and just kind of patting my stomach when my mother (who across the room) asked what that noise was. I told her it was the fluid sloshing in my stomach and she just about fell off her chair laughing. I have to admit it was kind of funny. I weighed this morning and weigh exactly the same as when I went into surgery so I know that when the fluid is gone I should have a couple pound weight loss. I still have 10 to 15 pounds to go to goal and maybe this will be the kicker that gets it done. Thank you all for the support and kind messages and well wishes. Things went very smooth and I owe it all to a great doctor, great support group and the power of prayer.Carl
