The beginning

Hi my name is Wendy.
I am a 35 almost 36yr old wife, mother, & nurse. My life revolves around my family. Have struggled with my weight my whole life. Last year lost 80lbs and managed to put 40 of it back on in 7 months. So here I am. Finally admitting I need help. I am having the lap-band procedure. I should be ready to go early October. I am excited. Can't wait to go to the amusement park & fit on the rides & not have to wait in-line & be embarrassed of not fitting. Can't wait to go to my first water park as an adult & not have to wear a t-shirt & shorts. Can't wait to fit in non-plus sized clothing. Can't wait to not just be the girl with the pretty face or the pretty eyes. Can't wait not to be the fat friend. Can't wait to feel comfortable in my own skin. Can't wait to have the energy to be there %100 for my kids. So here I am ready for this journey. A little scared but not enough to turn back. I am ready for the rest of my life.
