NOVEMBER 18 2002 WEEK 46 well it is 11 mos since i had my wls & i am so thankful everyday that i did. as of this morning, i currently weigh 160 lbs. thats 120 lbs less than my all time high & 112 lbs since surgery. i decided to go to walmart & get myself a present :-) . i have wanted to wear sexy lingerie all my life & never could. i decided that today was the day i was going to buy a few things along those lines & if they didnt fit me yet, they will very soon. i found a casual strapless bra, a casual bra that looks like a cut off undershirt & the piece that thrilled me the most was a matching bra & panty set. paul wanted to know what i bought when i got in the car but i refused to tell him. we arrived home & i went into the bedroom to try everything on, expecting of course that none of it will fit. u see, i bought size 36 in the 2 casual pieces & 36d in the set. i started my wls journey at size 48dd. what a GOLDEN MOMENT i had when everything fit! admittedly, not perfect fits, but, they r still wearable & i think another 10 lb loss will make them perfect. paul's reaction to my 'fashion show' was second only to the fact that i bought the right sizes. lolol. i am more convinced than ever now that i must pursue a tt & body contouring, but, not until i reach a stable weight.

Sheryl - WooHoo! Way to go! It's a good thing he convinced you to try them on- or you would have missed using them entirely! Congratulations on your weight loss and may God bless you as you get healthier and healthier each and every day!

bad me! bad bad me! i weighed & measured on june 29, week 28, & didnt remember to update my profile. so here is the great news...i am 6 months post op & i have lost 88 lbs & 82 inches so far! i have been wearing size 2x clothes mostly cause thats all the clothes i have. i did come across some t shirts size 1x & those fit great. yesterday my girlfriend gave me some cool weather clothes she found while going thru her closet & said...im sure by the time it will be the right weather for these clothes u will fit into them perfectly. all the slacks r size 16 & the blouses r extra large. i went to put them in my closet without trying them on because a: this is las vegas nv & it is 112 degrees outside & b: there is no way i will fit into these clothes yet. i mean, lets face it...184 lbs doesnt go into 16's & extra large right? WRONG!!!! my honey said...try them on i want to see them. ok so what will it hurt to humor the man right? HAH! humor the man my eye!!! THEY FIT!!! REALLY REALLY FIT!!! PROPERLY!!!! OMG! OMG! OMG! ME IN A SIZE 16 PANTS!!!!!!! wooooohooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!! uh oh...i just had a thought...by the time the weather is right for these clothes they will probably be TOO BIG! LOLOLOL.

i am back from a wonderful 6 week vacation visiting with my sister & her family in massachussets & then to florida to see my 3 children & my granddaughter for a few days. my brotherinlaw had open rny on may 31 with dr munchie of springfield, ma & got thru it with flying colors. he is feeling wonderful & my sister told me the other day that he is losing his pants!lolol. FYI...anybody wanting to know about dr munchie...he does his surgery at bay state medical center in springfield mass. i had the opportunity to meet & talk with him when he was done with my brotherinlaws surgery & i found him to be warm, friendly & very concerned about his patients. when i told him i was a post op wls patient also, he asked me quite a few questions about how i was doing. my sister, husband & i felt that he was truly interested in my health as a post op. he was very gracious & answered all my questions about my brotherinlaws surgery, prognosis for his health as a post op wls patient & even my own questions that have arose post op that i didnt have a chance to ask my own surgeon. if u r in the massachussetts region & r looking for a surgeon i highly recommend that u check dr munchie out when u do ur research.i will be sending my post op list out to those that emailed me for it. i had my 6 month check up on friday june 21st & have lost 82 lbs since my surgery. dr newhoff made me feel terrific when he told me how proud of me he is. living the life of a wls patient has not been easy but it certainly is worthwhile & i would do it again every year if that would be necessary to remain healthy. i thank god every nite for the magic hands & gifted brain of dr newhoff. he has truly saved my life. i celebrated my 51st birthday on saturday the 22nd & told my husband i feel like i am 31 again. i could not have come this far without AMOS & all of my wls sisters & brothers tremendous outpouring of knowledge & support. my thanks to all of u. i had the very best 'golden moment' while visiting my children. my prayers were answered when i made the decision to have wls to make me healthier for my granddaughter. without realizing i had done so, i got down on the floor & played with her & was then able to get up without anybody's assistance or feeling like a beached whale. as always...i wish all my AMOS brothers & sisters the best of luck no matter what step of the journey u r on.
