"My insurance company required that I stay overnight for observation, so I was transferred to a room upstairs after surgery. The staff was wonderful to me the whole time I stayed there. They were extremely helpful. There is a reason this hospital has a Circle of Excellence in Bariatric Care!"
"Well, I didn't actually meet Dr. Hollis until the day of my surgery. I went through a weight loss clinic that hooked me up with him. I did a lot of research on him before hand, though, to make sure I was going to be in good hands and became confident that I would be. He has excellent bedside manner, but his office staff leaves something to be desired. I faxed over a form to his office that I needed signed by him for work in order to be able to use FMLA time instead of vacation time while I was out due to the surgery. Well, they wanted to charge me $25 just to fill it out! I thought that was ridiculous and refused to pay. They escalated the issue to the head nurse and Dr. Hollis and they both agreed that they did need to charge the $25. That kind of left a bad taste in my mouth about him afterwards. Unfortunately that was after my surgery and I haven't seen him since. but I will definitely be making my voice heard once I see him for my first fill. Luckily the weight loss center that I went through was able to take care of the paperwork for me."
