I'm about to be 38 and have been looking into WLS for a couple years.  Me weight has fluctuated significantly the past couple of years.  In 2012 I lost 70 lbs on my own without doing any trendy thing like protein shakes, diet pills etc.  Just simply eating healthier.  My portions were really big but I still lost weight since I was eating mostly salads.  I cut sugar completely out of my life as well.

A year later I started having pain in my back and a list of other symptoms.  I and was diagnosed with cervical stenosis and several herniated discs and a pinched nerve.  The pain was unbearable and I had to leave my job and spent my days in bed eating.  So it was no surprise when I gained almost the entire 70lbs back quickly:(

I felt stuck.  I couldn't exercise or barely do basic chores due to the pain, and my only comfort was eating.  Yet this was making me fatter which was just putting more pressure on my spine.  So I decided to move forward with having the gastric sleeve as a last resort.  My goal is to lose as much weight as I can to live a somewhat normal life.
