Hi, my name is Yvette. I can't say I've been overweight all my life but I have been overweight most of my ADULT life. My average weight after my first child was 160 (I'm 5'7), after my second child was 180-200, and after my last child was 220. I've gained an additional 50 pounds in the last year, bringing my highest weight to 277 to 284 pounds, depending on the day of the week or the scale I was using, lol. Well, after paying $10,300 cold hard cash, I finally had my gastric sleeve surgery on 5/23/12. The whole process from my first consultation meeting to the day of my surgery took 1 1/2 months. As of today, 6/14/12, I am 22 days post op and about 26 pounds less. Yayyyyy!! My goal is 150-160 pounds. I'm ready for a new me. New mind, new body, new man, lol!! I find myself to be very impatient to get the bulk of this weight off and think I'll feel a little more comfortable with myself when I get to the very low 200's mark. I'm excited to have joined this site and look forward to reporting my progress on here as often as possible and look forward to reading everyone else's progress and victories.
