"When it was recommended that I have bariatric surgery I immediately started researching and looking into surgeons in my area. During my search I came across the provider finder here on OH and decided to go to the seminar held by the Surgical Associates team. The seminar was extremely informative and both Dr. Steinberg & Dr. Rashid were very easy to talk to.
My first one on one appointment was great. The staff was on top of things and Dr. Rashid swept in with so much positive energy and openness that I knew she was the surgeon for me. Every step of the way through the approval process and surgery she and her staff where always available and always on top of things. I'm only 4 days post-op but I couldn't have dreamed up a better surgeon for me. She even called me on a Sunday evening a few days after I returned home from the hospital to see how I was doing.
I would recommend her or Dr. Steinberg to anyone I met.
If you do choose Dr. Rashid remember... It's okay to ask questions even if you think they are silly. She will take the time to answer each and every one of them. And believe me I had alot of questions.
I don't have anything negative to say about Dr. Rashid but I do have to say that don't write her off right away because she seems too pep. I did that when I first met her and I'm glad I decided to go with her because it really helped to have all her positive energy focused on me while I was in the hospital. Before I went in the OR I wasn't scared but when I woke up I thought "what the heck did I do", and she was right there.
