Question:
Two questions...

1.Does BTC Transect the old stomach? Initially I thought they did, but then looking at the diagrams on their website, it looks like they don't. If not, can I request that? 2. I'm having surgery Dec. 6, and being from Ireland, where there is no Thanksgiving, our big "feast," if you will, is on Chrsitmas Day. I'm not worried about missing it, however I know it will be weird sitting there watching them all eat! Given that I will be on liquids or maybe pureed foods any suggestions as to what I could eat? And are sugar-free Candy Canes ok? I'm quitting smoking too, so I find that sucking on things, or gum helps with my oral fixation! But maybe in two months, I'll be all right! :) Thanks!    — Deborah W. (posted on October 16, 2001)

my surgery was on halloween, and by thanksgiving, I was on puree's. I just took some turkey w/some fat free gravy and ran it through my hand held food processor. Then 1 tbs of mashed taters and I was all set. I also didn't feel I had missed anything. Good luck

The other suggestions here are excellent. You will be able to have what you can. Now you must learn to concentrate on the company that you are with , rather than the food. Make the people the most important thing.
