Question:
Has your dr prescribed Xenical

I am 1 year post op and only down 80 lbs with nothing in 3 months. Friday, at the dr. he prescribed Xenical to see if that would work as I am adhering strictly to diet but not losing. Also having a scope due to pain when eating. Anyone else prescribed Xenical or other diet pills after surgery?    — Dianne C. (posted on April 14, 2003)

I haven't had the surgery yet but I have been on Xenical last year and I lasted for 3 weeks the side effects are horrible you will see that you will need to wear diapers thats how BAD!!! LOL...but only time will tell..I am quite sure your Dr. told you that everyone complains about same side effects. Take care..But a little advice maybe you need to change your eating and your daily excersing due to your body going through a slow down its very common for a lot people...GOOD LUCK & TAKE CARE!

I am a pre op, and I have used xenical for a few months and what the previous poster said is true, however in the patient info given with xenical, it specifies it is not to be used with poeple with malabsorbation problems, since it causes malabsorbation of fats. Just incase you missed reading the info. Good luck
