Question:
HAS ANYONE EXPERIENCED TINGLING IN HANDS?

THE LAST COUPLE OF DAYS I HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING TINGLING IN MY FOREARMS AND TO THE TIPS OF MY FINGERS. I AM NOW NOTICING IT IN MY FACE AS WELL; AND RIGHT ON TOP OF MY HEAD. I KNOW IT SOUNDS WEIRD, BUT I AM A LITTLE CONCERNED. I HAVE CALLED MY DR'S OFFICE 2 TIMES, AND THEY KEEP TELLING ME "SOMEONE WILL CALL YOU BACK" (I'M GETTING **REAL** TIRED OF HEARING THAT!!!) I HAVE READ OTHER'S POSTINGS ABOUT IT POSSIBLY BEING A "B" VITAMIN DEFICIENCY, BUT I TAKE EXTRA B VITAMINS...SO WHAT ELSE MIGHT IT BE?? ALSO, I HAVE A PRETTY BAD COLD RIGHT NOW...COULD IT BE RELATED TO OXYGEN SATS? ANY INFO IS APPRECIATED!    — Sherri C. (posted on May 25, 2004)

EXCUSE THE ALL CAPS, BUT THIS IS IMPORTANT. GET TO AN ER NOW! READ MY PROFILE FOR THE SUMMER OF 2001.... THIS IS THE EXACT SAME THING AS I HAD AND MY POTASSSIUM WAS DANGEROUSLY LOW! IT IS MY UNDERSTANDING THAT YOU CAN HAVE A HEART ATTACK WITH TO LOW POTASSIUM AS POTASSIUM IS NEEDED BY THE MUSCLES. OF COURSE OUR HEART IS A BIG MUSCLE. GO TO AN ER IMMEDIATLY AND TELL THEM YOU SUSPECT LOW POTASSIUM. THIS IS NOT TO BE FOOLED AROUND WITH! #### ON WAITING FOR YOUR DOCTOR. GO NOW.

I have had the same symptoms for a few months. Thought at first they were part of a migraine but the migraine specialist said probably not. Have had my potassium checked and it is normal, so is my thyroid levels. I've had to have an MRI and an MRA which also came out normal. I'm seeing a neurologist. They want to rule out MS, which they have. Now I'm wondering if it is a menopausal thing. Does anyone else have these symptoms?

I had the same symptoms, all during this past winter. I get b-12 by injection monthly and take 3 iron tabs a day due to low readings-9- on the iron scale, 12 being the beginning of normal. We had a very cold winter and without all the fat to keep me warm, I suspect the tingling I had was due to just being cold. It's gone now that spring is here. I too thought it might have something to do with migraine but that has been ruled out for me. If your labs show normal in all areas, then perhaps it is a cirrculation thing, more to do with losing fat under your skin and less pressure of fat on your arteries and veins. It could just be temporary, give it a little more time as long as your labs are ok.
