Question:
Does anyone notice their saliva seems very salty after surgery?

Im not adding salt to food, or eating anything extra salty but I notice my saliva is very salty. Im about 4 weeks post-op and not having too many difficulties with food. This just seems a bit odd. YES, YES, YES! My mouth tasted totally weird after the surgery. I explained it to my doctor, and he said the salty/metallic taste was due to the meds I was on for the surgery (anesthesia, pain meds, etc.). Don't worry - the taste will fade with time.
