The only one that I have been able to drink without it making me disgusted of the flavor that is the cheapest. It is called Body Fortress an almost 2 pound jug at Walmart for 13.99 The vanilla flavor. I add fruit to it and even a little bit of vanilla extract and some plenda to taste. It taste great!

You're going to want to experiment with protein because everyone seems to have differing opinions regarding what they can stomach. I tried most of the suggested ones and gagged on all of them. Then I settled in with IDS New-Whey Liquid Protein 42 gm because I could swallow a little here, a little there and get my protein needs. Mind you, it has the consistency of motor oil ... . I don't know where the cheapest source is but you shouldn't pay much more than $2.50 for a 3 oz. dose. G'luck!

I have also used the Walmart brand. I really like the chocolate, I mix it with 8 oz of unsweetended soymilk also from Wal-Mart. That equals 30g of protein, 2 times a day. When I am on the go, I keep a Pure Protein bar 20g, and 2g of sugar, in the truck for emergency cravings. Also, found at Wal-mart.

I like the Muscle Milk Light in the chocolate milk flavor. It isn't gritty tasting either. I use the light because it is lower in sugar. You can get it at Vitamin World and it is about $25.00 for 1.65 pounds. It has 25 grams of protien for 2 scoops. It tastes like chocolate milk too!

I cannot tolerate any flavored protein drinks. They ALL make me gag. I did find unflavored at GNC and can actually tolerate it. You can barely taste it and I put it in my SF hot chocolate. I have seen people say you can put in pretty much anything. Good luck!

A couple things-- Body fortress found at walmart is NOT a walmart brand! It can be found in any grocery store and some department stores. The tasteless protein powder found at GNC is called Anywhey tasteless protein powder. It's not that cheap BUT it is very tolerable. (I use this and I wish it could be bought with food stamps!) You will be spending about $32 for a small canister that gives 30 servings. It has 17 grams of protein in it and can be added to most anything hot or cold and you can even bake with it later on! You should be able to call around your local area to see who carries what and how much it will cost. Just make sure that you get WHEY protein as it's what our bodies absorb best. Good luck and God bless!

I'm a fan of Beneprotien and crystal light. Beneprotien has no flavor so all your tasting is the crystal light. Good Luck.

I buy Dr. Atkins protein drinks in the can and I get them at Sam's. I also use his protein bars, they are so good and easy to carry with you. Have also used the Whey protein powders and I mix it with my coffee in the morning, and not that expensive. Best of luck to you and hope to see you soon on the LOSER'S BENCH!

I use chocolate Unjury and buy it direct from Unjury at www.unjury.com The developed their protein for cancer paients and the taste with 6-8 oz of skim mill is like a milkshake. I just add 3-4 Ice cubes and run for two minutes on high in my blender. The cost is about $17.00 for about 18 servings. They will sell you samples of all their flavors. Look at their web site. Also they give you 15% off if you place a regular month order that you can change.

Any of these are what I use: 1.) Champion ProScore 100 choco + 8 oz water + ice, blended (hand blender or Magic Bullet). 2.) Champion Pure Whey Stack choco + 6-8 oz water, shaken. 3.) IDS vanilla-cinnamon + "glop" of DaVinci sugar free caramel sauce + 8 oz water + ice, blended. 4.) the PWS chco + the van-cin (50/50) in about 10 oz hot water, stirred or hand blender. Lately I've been adding a shake of cinnamon to my hot ones since cinnamon fights belly fat. I always put 1 scoop of UpCal D powder in (500mg calcium citrate, 250 IU of vit D3).
