Question:
WHAT COULD BE CAUSING CONSTANT PAIN BETWEEN SHOULDER BLADES ALONG WITH SEVERE NAUSEA?

I'd be asking my doc about gall bladder issues if you still have yours. Your symptoms are consistent with inflamed/diseased gall bladder.

Ditto to what was just said about gall bladder. I know someone locally who had her gall bladder removed during WLS however they did not get all the stones??? She is 1 yr post op now and had to go to the ER in severe pain w/stones continuing to develop at the site where her gall bladder use to be and in her bile duct. Do not ignore severe pain have it evaluated ASAP.

I would see your doctor right away! You never know if its heart related. Heart problems can radiate pain in odd areas. But no matter what nausea and pain is a red flag. Good Luck!

I have severe pain between the shoulder blades and nausea from time to time. It gets so bad that I am in tears. I have decided it must be gas.

I had pain between my shoulder blades and toward my right shoulder and the Dr decided it was either a liver or kidney infection (he knew, I just can't remember). He told me it was 'referred' pain, when the pain shows up in a different place from the infection. Antibiotics took care of it quickly. I think it's a good idea to get any severe, persistant pain checked out.

Hi! I had the very same symptoms in 1997 and I found out I had to have my gallbladder removed. The pain was caused by gallstones passing through (same with the nausea). I have a rather high pain tolerance and this pain brought me to my knees once or twice. If you still have your gallbladder, you should check in to that possibility. Best wishes! :)

I had it and it was because of pouch irritation. I don't have a gall bladder. The Dr. put me on Aciphex and it cleared up. I was suprised that is what it was I thought it was a pinched nerve or something.
