When I hit a plateau, I do a few days of each of the weeks until I was told to experiment with what I can and can't eat. It always seems to jumpstart my weight loss again. Good luck!

Jackie, I have the same question as you... Matter of fact I had RYN 2 years ago and I started at 425 and am stuck at 259 too. I am also trying to jumpstart my weightloss again. There is no magic cure. I have to cut carbs, reduce back to 1,000 calories safely and increase my water and exercise. The water is the biggest thing that makes or breaks my weightloss. I found that out through journaling. I wish you all the luck and I hope you will post on my personal IM of your sucess. Debbie Smith- member name altenburg_smith

You can plateau for several months. This is a good thing so don't be discouraged your body is catching up. Instead of weighing yourself get out the tape measure you may be losing inches. Make sure you are not doing protein shakes as you will regain all the weight you lost later on. This surgery only works if you eat. I know thats ironic since eating got us here. But eating small meals a cup of food at a time or half a sandwich, etc and eating 6 times a day always protein first so your body is always fueled. Your tummy is so small now that whatever you eat passes through fast. SO its important to not starve the body as that is what leads to weight gain. Walk, Walk, Walk, drink water, drink water, drink water.

I found a 2 step system that was very effective, and has kept the weight off, there was no dieting or exercising involved
