Question:
Couple weeks out... into the exciting "Pureed foods" diet.
I know what the actual difference is, But I am wondering logically what the difference is between pureed food and food that has been very thoroughly chewed? For example, if you were to puree a soup with noodles... what is the actual difference of a pureed noodle, and a thoroughly chewed noodle? Sometimes the pureed texture just makes things gross. I know that some foods would have to be pureed to get the right breakdown. I am wondering about foods that would easily be thoroughly chewed. — medic3992 (posted on October 9, 2009)

The consistency is not thin enough in things u can chew in your mouth vs
pureed. Pureed has a higher liquid content to make it less irritating going
thru your new pouch. Your pouch is swollen and you need to give it time to
heal.

I never pureed anything...I just didnt eat that stuff..if it wasn't soft, I
didnt eat it. Its a short stage..I could handle it for a few weeks. And I
never got the soup pureed thing..to me its a solid even if it is smooched
up. if it will make "number 2" its a solid to me. lol Hugs, kim

Hi there, I am 3 weeks out and I agree with you. Pureed meat is just
awful. I have been just really chewing chewing chewing everything, soft
meat etc.(meatballs, meatloaf) I tried chicken meatballs last night(not
bad). It was nice to have the same thing for dinner as my family, even if
it was just a couple of bites. I also put cooked chicken in a mini chopper
and dont make it mush but very finly chopped then chew chew chew. I had a
Ritz cracker the other day that I chewed until liquid(sounds gross but wow
did I enjoy something other than meat or cottage cheese). I wish you luck!
