I would assume you need to stay away from all the BAD CARBS and keep on moving! Walk, walk and walk some more. Also, if your surgeon put you on a pre-op atkins style diet, you can try that again for two weeks and see if that jump starts anything. Hope its been helpful. Good Luck!

Whenever I've been stuck, I know going to the gym and doing some interval work really helps, as does lifting weights. Weights really get your metabolism going. Good luck!

my doc told me the only way to overcome this is to increase the intensity of your exercise. Also maybe drink more fluids, try some green tea, make sure you are eating all you are allowed to have. Skimping can actually slow your progress down if it goes on for an extended time. Hope this helps. You are doing a fantastic job. Good luck!

I have had band surgery will be 3yrs in May and also need to lose 30 more lbs. I was told to eat every 2 1/2 hours approx 4oz and protien first for a full feeling. I started this past Monday 01/04 and have lost 1 lb. I use almonds (approx 12)for snacks mid morning and mid afternoon. Hope this helps. Joann Hope this helps

I'm 18 months out today. I have lost 70 of the 106 I needed to lose. Haven't lost anything since July. I do watch what I eat and stay away from bad carbs. Exercise is something I need to do more of. I'm happy with my appearance but don't like the numbers on the scale. The folks at bariactriceating.com recommend the LPT, liquid protein tran, which is protein shakes for 3 days. Some have a meal once a day. I'm thinking of doing that.

I had this problem. I am 30 lbs short of my goal weight. You know, some of that weight could be 15 pounds of excess skin. Also, I was told that sometimes your body just says - Enough!

I agree with one of the other posts... sometimes your body says enough... I stopped 15 lbs short of my actual goal but have not gained anything back and I like the way that I look in the mirror and in my cloths. My nut and surgeon both told me that my original goal may have just been a little unrealistic for my body. If you like the way you look don't look at the numbers, look in the mirror and be happy. If you still don't like what is looking back at you all you can do is change up your workout routine a little and keep at it. make sure you drink enough liquids, get enough low cal low fat proteins and take all of you vitamins.
