Question:
Seeking LAP Revision under CIGNA

Hi there. I am looking for a doctor who performs laparoscopic revisions and accepts CIGNA for insurance. I don't care which state, I will travel, including out of country. I am in Arizona, but I don't believe that any of the surgeons here that do the lap revisions take CIGNA. Any suggestions or referrals you could offer would be greatly appreciated. Kimmie, I have Cigna health insurance and as far as I know they still consider the Laparoscopic surgery as experimental and therefore would only cover the open RNY procedure. Call Cigna and make sure they cover what you are wanting beofre you go through the trouble of finding a surgeon to do it... Best of luck!

I had my LAP RNY on 8/15/2002, so I know Cigna will pay for the LAP, but I don't know about revisions.

I had a lap RNY a year and a half ago. I'd like an RNY revision, since I am probably too far out to go to the D/S. Thanks, Kimmie
