Question:
Has any one had bat wings removed with cut only in the arm pits?

That type of incision works for small batwings. Most prople who lose 100 lbs or more need the incisons down the arm. A good plastic surgeon will make the arm incisions where they are barely visible, unless you put your arms over your head. I had mine done a month ago and the scars are VERY thin and hardly seen.Same with my breast lift.Good luck on your journey.

Hi. It depends on the size of the "wings." Sometimes liposuction plus a small armpit incision can make a difference. For a lot of skin to be removed, the inner arm incision is needed !

Doubtful. They need to remove the skin pretty far down the arm unless all you need is some lipo. For me the incision is 6 inches long and has faded to silver at 18 months. My arms look great now, but I've been working out since my WLS 2 years ago. They were 21 inches before by brachioplasty and are 12 now.

I had the modified brachioplasty in June. I lost 125 pounds. I had liposuction on my upper arms in 8/02 to shrink my arm size. They removed a can of fat from each arm. It truly helped in reducing my arm size. Then in 6/03, I had the excess skin cut off the arms. My incisions are mostly under my armpit, however, I did ask my PS to go about 2 to 3 inches down the inside of my arm to remove some nasty looking turkey waddle that I had. Those scars are now gone. Only if I raise my arms about my head can you see the ones in my armpit and there going away quickly.
