Hi, I'm a little over 3 months out, too. The starts and stops of the weight loss is a little unnerving. But, I think you're doing great! Seems right on target to me. The only suggestion I would make (after reading your profile) is to try and get in more water and eat leaner protein (fish/shrimp, etc.). Other than that, I think you're doing super fantastic! When was the last time you lost 40 pounds?! Keep up the good work!

I found that the more water I drank the better I lost. Perhaps really push the fluids to the max and see if that doesn't help. Also, I would get a cheap stroller at a garage sale and put her in. She's still small enough to sit in one and enjoy the ride. Fun for her and good for you!

Oh how I know how you feel.. I am 3.5 months post op and lost 50-51 pounds depending on the day I step on the scale. i have not lost anyweight since June 27th.. I just upped my water to 96 ounces I was doing 80 so I hope that will do it I eat 800-950 calories a day and have 65-80 g of protien a day.. I dont know why I am at a plateau. I know i loose slower because I am a light weight but its very frustrating. I am so close to 199 I can taste it .. my weight is 200- 201 .. I just want to get below the 200 mark and my body is rebelling UGH!!

Hi Becky - I know how you feel. I will be 4 months post-op next Friday and I've lost 50 lbs total. I just recently broke a plateau of 5 weeks, and it was very scarey. So much so, I made my surgeon order an upper GI because I was sure something was mechanically wrong (test results showed everything looks fine). As light-weights, it is frustrating to listen to others lose so much so quickly, but try and look at the percentage of total weight lost, and I'm sure you will find that you are right on target. You are doing fantastic. My greatest fear when I hit my plateau was that I would not lose anymore - I was so afraid of appearing a failure to my Mom & Dad, who are totally supportive of me, but don't quite get the concept that obesity is a disease and is therefore not entirely under our control. Anyway, I think you are doing great, keep up the good work and hang in there. Many blessings, Robin

My weight loss is very similar to yours. I'll be 14 weeks post op this Monday and have lost 44 lbs. I've gone from 5 foot tall weighing 220 lbs (bmi 43) to 5 foot tall weighing 176 lbs (bmi 34.4) so far. There are days when I just can't get all my water in and other days where I can drink more than my fair share. I don't have any advise to give you, because I'm looking for the same answers. Sorry! I just wanted you to know that you are not alone.
