Question:
Calling Dr. John LoManco, MD, PA

Dr. LoManco, I want you to know that we appreciate you taking time to respond to our questions. I want to support your practice, if I can. What type of doctor are you? (I'm guessing plastics, based on your responses) Where do you practice/have privilleges? Thank you, again!!!! ~Keri Johnson, CRNP (OB/GYN)    — Kerijohnson (posted on November 28, 2004)

Hi Keri. Thanks for the "page." Yes, I am a plastic surgeon in Houston and have a special interest in breast and body surgery, especially after weight loss. I've had a great time here on the boards and actually learn a lot about what concerns my patients may have. Also have met some neat folks and shared a few laughs !

I would like to say a word of thanks also to Dr John. It is really nice that you give of your time here on Q & A. It is refreshing to find a doctor that doesn't put himself on a pedastle(sp?) above the patient. Christine aka as the common person.

Keri, this is a nice post for a very nice man. I don't think there is a better reconstructive surgeon in the entire huge state of Texas. I have seen Dr LoMonaco for a complete consultation to deal with my tummy that hangs down on my thighs. I have never been treated better by a doctor and his staff. Dr L is smart, professional, caring, kind, talented, and has a sense of humor. My insurance chose to think my needed panniculectomy was "cosmetic". When I have lost 75 more pounds, I am so looking forward to trying for approval again. No one but Dr LoMonaco will do my work. You can rest assured that anyone you refer to his practice will be treated well and get great results. (Ann in TX)
