Question:
Answer to question regarding 'dream weight'

My dream weight is 199.9999 just so long as I can say I weigh less than 200 pounds. I'll be tickled to death to be below 250, and 222.5 would mean a 200 lbs loss so that would run a close second to my dream weight of 199.999. What will I do when I reach my 'dream weight' hmmm can't really say other than celebrate! Perhaps a second honeymoon would be in order :) — Loralynn W. (posted on June 11, 2003)

I have recently joined the Century Club and am actually down about 110 pounds since my RNY 10/15/02. I celebrated by getting myself a new tennis racquet (I really stink at it but this is my exercise routine). I also love to read and I bought some good books for myself. Good luck to you.

My surgery weight was 321 pounds and at 5'6, I originally wanted to be at 175. Everyone around me said that I should shoot for lower, but I was happy at 175 (so many, many years ago). When I hit around 5 months post-op, I decided on 160 because if I lost 160, it would put me at 160- thought that was cool. I am now almost 9 months post-op and 16 pounds from my goa (and only one pound from my origianl goal). I know that there has be at least 15 pounds of excess skin on me, so in theory...*S* I am still sticking with the goal of 160, but I get the feeling I may drop it to 150 once I get there. It's not that I am not happy where I am- beleve me, I am. I could stop losing now and be thrilled with the 145 pound loss! I am wearing 14's and 12's now, but as I said, this excess skin (waist, hips, thighs) causes me to seem larger than I am. Anyways, everyone is different, different body shapes, different views on how they want to look. As long as YOU are happy, thats all that matters! Good luck to you!!....Karen (lap RNY- 9/20/02- down 145 pounds!)

Now that I'm at goal, I find myself eating (snacking) more in the evenings. So, I've started scrapbooking in the evenings to keep my mind and hands occupied. You can't handle papers and photos with greasy hands (smile)! One of my first scrapbooks is going to be all about me and my weight loss and all my hopes and dreams for the future. I can't think of a better way to celebrate my new life.

Congratulations Loralynn 130lbs is so excellent! I'm pre-op but I'm losing weight before my surgical consult in September. On June 10th, I weighed in at 394lbs. The past few years. I have been yoyoing within the 420-450lb ranges. It's so good to when dreams become real.
