Question:
has anyone bought an individual policy from BS/BC of NE to pay for WLS?

I am looking into buying an individual policy from BC/BS of NE. My current insurer has denied me and I have heard good things about BC/BS of NE. Has anyone bought their own policy to get coverage...if so which one?    — dana J. (posted on May 9, 2003)

I HAVE NOT HAD ANY EXPERIENCE WITH THIS COMPANY BUT MOST INSURANCE CO. WILL NOT GIVE YOU AN INDIVIDUAL POLICY UNLESS YOU MEET THEIR HT/WT CRITERIA. MOST OF US NEEDING WLS DO NOT FIT THEIR REQUIREMENTS. GOOD LUCK!
