Question:
Anyone out there who is approximately 5'5
What size do you wear? This is about what I hope to be around December or January and would like to buy a nice outfit to have as an incentive to get there ASAP! Thanks! — Kathy L. H. (posted on June 17, 2002)

You need to list your starting wt and when you had your surgery or when you
are scheduled to. I started in October of last year and have lost
99lbs!!!!!!!! I now weigh and amazing 170 that is like 1 pound away from
100!!!!!! I wear a size 11/12 and 13/14, I know I could wear a size 9/10
if it weren't for the huge drooping skin on the bottom of my stomach.
YUCK!!!!!!!! GOod luck and God Bless. Open Rny 10/4-99lbs and counting.

I am 5'5".5 and I am down to 165. I am in a 13/14 and can SQEEZE into
a 12, but cannot wear, just glad I can zip it up at this point. Like the
prev poster said, if it werent' for that extra skin!! I see many that are
my weight at 165 and wear a size smaller than I, probably because I am an
apple. What is your starting weight? Mine was 245-250. 7 months post-op,
down 80 lbs.

I am 5'5 and have lost 116lbs so, far. You are talking about being 4-5
months out and at that time, I had lost about 80lbs and if, I remember
correctly I was in a 16 and maybe a 14. I cannot really remember. I have
been keeping up with loss of lbs and inches, but I don't record clothing
size at time of measurement. Maybe I should have. Didn't think about that!!
:) I am now in a 10 pants and a medium shirt and I am now 10 months out.
Good Luck to you!!

I am 5'5. I had surgery on March 6, 2002 at 291lbs, am now at 220lbs and
wearing a size 16 jeans and 14 dress. Which I thin is really small for
220lbs. Regardless of height I think everyone carries their weight
differently. Before surgery, I remember weighing 190 and being a size
18/20. How can I weigh 30lbs more and be a smaller size now? My only
answer is it must be all the exercise - it helps big time!

I started at 252, size 26 jeans. It seems to me at four months I was
wearing 16/18 in jeans. I am now in size 12 jeans, medium tops, down 90
pounds at 11 months. I am a "slow" loser, but that is okay with
me. I am working very hard right now to tighten up. Best of luck to you.

I had surgery 1-8-02 and my starting weight was 338 since I have lost 125
lbs and can wear a size 18. However, I carry the weight completely
different than I used to. I am having trouble getting ris of my belly,
hips and but. My legs and waist are a size 14/16, but my but, hips and
belly are an 18.

Kathy, what is your starting weight and when is your surgery scheduled for?
You should check those 5'5" and the same starting weight as you-then
ask them what size they were at after the number of months between your
surgery and December/January.
