Question:
Just found Wonderful SUGAR-FREE cookies! YUM :)

In case any of you were looking for a tempting treat with no sugar, I just found wonderful NO SUGAR cookies at A&P (i'm from NJ) The brand is MURRAY. They have chocolate type oreo, vanilla creme, oatmeal, choc. chip and more. I bought the oreo type and for 3 cookies (I wouldn't eat that many) it is 120 calories, 7grams of fat, 18 carbs (thats y i wouldn't eat that many) and 5 sugar alcohol. And even 2 grams of protein. Just thought I would share!    — Lezlie Y. (posted on September 13, 2002)

I found a treat that I just adore. Reduced fat, no sugar added Klondike ice cream bars. Yummmmm!!! I can't eat a whole one so when I can afford the extra carbs, I eat half of one and give the other half to my honey. 1/2 of a 5 oz. Klondike bar is 90 calories, 5 grams of fat, 11 grams of carbs and 2 grams of protein. It's especially yummy when I'm getting close to "that time of the month" and crave chocolate. :o)

I think things are really getting better out there for those of us needing sugar-free or no-sugar added goodies. I've been dying for a soft peanut butter cookie....you know, the old fashioned kind. Well, I've posted here before and have had a lot of responses and orders for a recipe book that I put together. If you check out my page here at Obesity Help it tells you how to order it ($12).....let me tell you, the recipes are PHENOMENAL....Hot Fudge Pudding Cake, Reese's Candy, Turtle Pie....YUM! By the way, the recipe for the peanut butter cookies is NOT in the book (this is a new recipe that I came up with)....if you want that recipe, just email me and I'll give it to you.

My friend and I had surgery 3 weeks ago and we found the Murray cookies too. The chocolate coated sugar(free) wafers are to die for. My brother bought me some. I kissed his feet. (Just kidding) The peanut butter ones are real good too. And the Oreo ones too. Sometimes I can't even eat a whole one, but it's so satisfying. I have to chew until they're liquid, (pureed stage) but it helps get through it. I'm not telling my nutritionist about them yet though. SHHHHH!!!

I have seen the Murrays in the grocery store but never bought them before. I have little mini bite size regular chocolate chip cookies (Chips deluxe). they come 10 to a package (50 cents per package) and have about 1.5 grams of sugar per cookie and around 26 calories per cookie. So, I eat around 3 of them and that little amount of sugar doesn't bother me, and its less than 100 calories..

If you have a sweet tooth and want a cookie that is much better for you...try Sport cookies. They are 15gr of protein, Sugar Free and low carb. You can go to www.protocookie.com to order them. They are a bit pricey but well worth it--me and another WLS buddy order them together to save on money. Good Luck!

Protocookies & Sport Cookies~distributed by the same company, are the absolute BEST! I believe they are even better in taste than MURRAY's. Give 'em a try. The Banana Nut, and Peanut Butter are my favorite.
