Question:
Will my inner thight be lifted if I have a tummy tuck or Lower body lift?

I am considering a tummy tuck or LBL and wondered if they would help lift my inner thights at all. I dont need much lift there and was hoping the pulling the belly tighter would help lift the thights just enough. Has anyone had this experience?    — missysworld (posted on June 12, 2004)

I was told that I would still need an inner thigh lift after the LBL or just an outter thigh lift. I don't know if a TT would help that area but your PS should be able to give you an idea.

I was told that the inner thighs had to be done separately in addition to the lower body lift or a tummy tuck.

Don't plan on it. The TT definitely won't do anything and the LBL would have very minimal impact. It's designed to deal with the tummy, butt and outer thighs. However, if you don't have tons to lift the cost should not be that horrible. Maybe a birthday present from a significant other? I told my fiance he could buy me boobs for our 5th anniversary. LOL

I'm almost 6 months post-op LBL. My LBL took care of my butt and outer thighs completely but not the front/inner thighs at all. I'm having the inner thigh lift in 3 weeks. Well worth the investment!

I had LBL 5.5 weeks ago. I, too, thought that the LBL would be enough to take up the slack in my inner thighs but no such luck. My PS told me that I would need to have the inner thigh lift in order to get the results I wanted. I went ahead and did the pantyline incision inner thigh lift at the same time as the LBL. HUGE difference in my lower body. It's just not the same ol' me! The incision lines in the inner thigh are so unbelievably thin that I'm sure that in 6 months or so you won't even see them. One incision is lower than the other (I guess perfection isn't possible!) but even with that, I can cover it with my panties and, like I said, as thin as it is, I'm not concerned about it at all. My thighs aren't hard or anything like that but the draping is almost completely gone. They definitely look much, much better. I'm so happy I had them done at the same time as the LBL. The pain wasn't bad at all - hardly any in fact. Although, I did get an infection in the incision on the left thigh which wasn't fun. It's a hard area to keep clean (back of the incision) so I think that contributed to the infection. If I had gotten the LBL done without the thigs, I think I would have looked really off balance b/c my outer thighs and butt look so much better now, if I had drapey inner thighs I wouldn't have been happy. By the way, got the breasts lifted at the same time. Whole new me!! Good luck to you. Email if you have questions.

I was thinking the same thing. I haven't had surgery yet, but wouldn't think that the TT would be a benefit but when I stand in the mirror and lift all of my skin as if I were getting an LBL then I do see my thighs lifting. I would just suggest that since most docs won't do them all together (too long under anesthesia) that you have the LBL done first, hope for the best and have the thighs done later if it doesn't work out. Best of luck!! Denise 280/140/at goal

melissa, I am 1 moout from my LBL. I had some lipo doen on my saddle bags and they were lifted a bit, but, they still look pretty crappy. While my ass, back, tummy and everything else looks fabolous, the thighs are another story!

Hi. I routinely try and lift the front and sides of the thighs at the same time as tummy tuck...it's all through the same incision anyway so doesn't add a lot of time. The INNER thighs are a different story and require a separate incision in between the legs. I have a few pics on my website that show the effect on the legs of a tummy tuck and thigh lift. SORRY (Chris D ! :-) )I don't have my WLS section up yet with those patients photos but these will give you some idea I hope.
