Conni, not only did I gain weight while in the hospital having my surgery, but I hit my first plateau at 3 weeks post op! At 16 months post op I have lost 90% of my excess weight and I feel fabulous. I've weighed myself every day since I came home from the hospital. I do limit myself to once in the morning, before eating or drinking! Make your own rules!

Dear Conni, Stop looking at the scale. Concentrate on getting your strength back and your protein and water. The scale will be your friend soon, but for now, STAY AWAY!!! diane

Well, I guess this is it!! Surgery is the day after tomorrow!! I'm not even nervous anymore. Just "ready." I work all night tonight and 6 hours in the morning tomorrow, so that will keep me busy until 1p tomorrow. After that the hospital is supposed to call with an "arrival" time and by then I imagine I will be ready to crash!! Good to keep busy until the last minute. Please keep me in your prayers. This is a powerful place with powerful people and I believe in the strength of your/our prayers and positive thoughts for each other. Thank you all for being there and also to those most recent people who've signed my surgery page: Sharon LeVine, Sharon Neva, Pat Hallam (hi from PA!), Amy Watkins and Sherry Smith, and to all the people who just quietly whisper "good luck!" to themselves...I know you're our there :) Thanks to all!!
