  1. How do I sign up as a member of ObesityHelp.com (and have my own web page and profile)?
    By visiting our member sign-up page.
  2. How do I list my surgeon?
    You can sign your surgeon on from your profile at the “your surgeon” link on your profile.
  3. How do I get my photos on the site?
    Email our Photo Team for instructions. They'll ask you to either mail your photos (they'll give you their address) or, if you already have your photos scanned or on the net then they'll ask you to email them as attachments.
  4. How do I unsubscribe from the mailing list?
    Log In . Click on “Mailing List Settings.” Set your settings to “No.”
  5. How do I hide my profile?
    Though not recommended, if you must hide your profile, then Log In. Once there click on “General Information.” Set Public Profile to “No.”
  6. I can't log in.
    Have the site email you your name and password. Check to verify that they aren't working. If they aren't, then let us know. Try rebooting your computer.
  7. I need help with an order or donation.
    Have a question about an order or donation you've made? Email Member Orders.
  8. My surgery date is wrong—how do I fix it?
    When you enter your profile to edit, click on the “I've got a date” link. When that page opens, you will see where you enter your surgery date information. Be sure and scroll down and hit “update” so it will save your changes.
  9. How do I list my angel?
    When you enter your profile to edit, click on the “I've got a date” link. When that page opens, scroll down and you will find an area to enter your angel's information.
  10. Why does it say I'm not a member?
    Please know it can take up to 10 days to process your information, giving you full access to all of our features.
  11. Why does my name come up in a web search?
    We (and no one) have no control over the current content of the search engines. We never share, distribute, or sell your information to ay search engines. You must contact the search engine directly in order to have them remove your information from their database. It may be possible that once the search engine re-attempts indexing the page and is disallowed it will remove the page from its index.
  12. Why can't I get into the chat room?
    Users with WebTV are currently not able to access our chat. Sometimes AOL users will experience a problem; we suggest rebooting your computer, as that sometimes helps. IN ORDER TO USE THIS CHATROOM YOU MAY NEED TO UPGRADE YOUR VERSION OF JAVA. Click here to download the latest version of Java.
  13. My Profile Updates do not show up.
    Profile updates and some other types of updates do not show up immediately; it may take up to 15 minutes before our system displays your updates.
  14. I am not listed on the Find Peers page.
    First, new members will not show up on this page for up to TEN days. You must have a public profile. If you still can not find your listing, remember that the page displays pages by last name. Have you tried selecting the “All” option, or have you tried selecting the first letter of your name?
