Obesity & Me

Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.

My weight has taken over my life, because I have tried just about ever diet out there. Hearing things like you have such a pretty face, my thought is why say anything at all. I was in a marriage where he would just knock me down all the time about my weight and then when I talked about having surgery he would scare me to the point where I would just forget about it. It has taken 4 years for me to find myself. Today I am in control

What was (is) the worst thing about being overweight?

The worst for me is the pain in my back, shoulders and walking up and down stairs The looks when you are out in public, I went back to school so I have a fear of being rejected for a job because of my weight

If you have had weight loss surgery already, what things do you most enjoy doing now that you weren't able to do before?

I just got insurance approval, I am hoping in the next 2 months of completing the surgery
