10/19/07rnrnNow I am on my 8th journey believe it or not. 7 other times I have been denied due to my Cirrohsis but not Dr. Hawasli. He is terrific. I liked him from the moment I met him. He says he will do the Gastric Sleeve with a possible 2nd part of the Rouen Y so I might get at least 70% of weight loss. I think that the follow up part of this program will be less than other doctors, but in the end, it's up to me to make the changes in my lifestyle.rnrn

I love this guy, I wish he could do anything I ever need done surgically. He is such a caring man. The office staff is top notch and up on everything. He really cares about his patients, you are just not another patient to him.

From the first time I walked into his office until now,one year latter.rnWe could use an after surgery program.Besides the rnonce a month lap-band meetings. We need fresh Ideas to keep us going after the excitement and motivation goes away.

I absolutely love my surgeon. He is very attentive and takes the time to answer any questions you have. The staff in the office is also great. I will let everyone know how the rest of my experience with him and his staff is.

Dr. Meguid is a very personable and caring surgeon. I get the feeling he is very passionate about his work. He is straight to the point about his opinions and what he expects in return from his patients. He encourages research and support groups before the surgery so that you are not left with any questions or unknowns after the surgery. He works with Dr. Hawasli who is a highly recognized surgeon in regards to laparoscopy. Both doctors have an excellent reputation. (I work at the same hospital and have asked MDAs, CRNAs, residents, other nurses, etc. Not one criticism.)

IT ALL STARTED WITH THE FIRST PHONE CALL AFTER SEEING THE AD ON TV. THEY WERE SO HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY. WHEN I WENT TO INTERVIEW W/ DR KATZ MY FIRST IMPRESSION WAS PROFESSIONAL AND VERY VERY FRIENDLY. I MET WITH A NURSE, NUTRITIONIST AND THE DOCTOR. THEY WERE VERY HELPFUL WITH INFO ON THE SURGERY, WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER AND THE NUTRITIONAL INFO I NEEDED TO KNOW. THEY ALSO TOOK CARE OF ALL THE INSURANCE INFO.
THE YEAR BEFORE I WAS WORKING W/ ANOTHER DR. NEEDLESS TO SAY IT WAS A BAD 7 MONTH EXPERIENCE. FROM HER STAFF TO HER BEDSIDE MANOR SHE SCARED THE HELL OUT OF ME. I KNOW WITH DR KATZ I MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE!!! HIS OFFICE IS ALSO A 2HOUR DRIVE ONE WAY. THAT DID NOT BOTHER ME A BIT. I KNEW I WAS IN GOOD HANDS. HE AND HIS STAFF VISITED ME IN THE HOSPITAL EVERYDAY.

He is very gentle, and a caring doctor. His office staff what can i say, they are on the ball. I would rate him 100%. So far I have only seen him once so far. I think as soon as I have been approved I will have more to say......

Dr. Gary Katz is possibly the most kind, understanding, helpful doctor that I have ever been to. He has been there through phone calls, office visits, etc.

Dr. Katz was wonderful. He was very attentive and I couldn't of ask for a better surgeon. He came in to see me everyday and called also during the day to talk to the nurses. When I was discharged from the hopsital, he gave me his cell number to reach him anytime.

His staff is great also.

I would rate dr. Katz as excellent.
