My first impression of Dr. King was that he is a very down to business doc. He is very anti-smoking and all he seemed concerned with was that I had been a smoker. I stressed to him that I was not a heavy smoker, only about 5 a day, but that did not matter to him. He insisted that I have the vena cava filter because of the risk of blood clots. He is a very kind man, who cares very deeply for the well being of his patients. The office staff is very friendy and nice. The office manager was very persistant about my insurance deductible eventhough I told her it had been met and my insurance pays 100%. I know they have to make sure that they get their money. Dr. King stresses that you come back every 6 months indefinately. He is very upfront with the risk of the surgey. One your second visit he ask you to tell him the worst thing that could happen to you and you must admit DEATH. Overall I will rate him an excellant doctor.

I first met Dr.King in Feb of 2004 .His Staff were absolutely wonderful,From the time I walked in the door till the time I left everyone was curtious and very professional. They took time with me and and offered to help with anything. When it was time for Dr. king to come in and see my I was just so excited I wanted the Surgery (right now)(that day)(ASAP).Dr.King was first of all , as friendly as you could ever want.He is there to ask and answer anthing you have for him.He told me that day that i needed a filter, I was a bit nervous about it, but after he explained the why, what and when , I felt a bit better.I had the pleasure of meeting Dr.Byars when He had to place my filter, he was absolutely wonderful, just as nice as could be.I would truly reccomend either of these Dr.'s if you are trying to make a choice.

My first impression of Dr. King was that he is the nicest Dr. I have ever seen. He had time to answer all my questions and always asked if I had more to ask. His after care is very important to him. I am 2 1/2 years post op and I still have to see him every six months which is fine with me. It is reassuring to go and make sure you are still doing good. I have lab work every time I go to make sure all my levels are good. His office staff is great and is always there to answer questions you may have. Dr. King also has a great bedside manner. He is also very anti-smoking. If you smoke....QUIT! I have had no problem with him. My overall opinion of him is he is Great and he saved my life. I would recomend him to anyone and if I had it to do all over again...I would not hesitate!

Dr. King is a very well-dressed man. I feel the Dr.King really takes pride in his work. His staff in his office are super nice.He was really straight forward about the risks of the surgery. He would answer any question that he was asked where you could understand it. I would give him a great recommendation. If someone was looking for a surgeon I would recommend him.

My initial impression of Dr. King is TALL. He is such a good person. He was patient and very helpful in answer all concerns. He explain procedure thouroughly. And offered precautions such as a filter to prevent clots (which can happened with nay surgery) traveling up to arteries. The day of my pre-testing he immediately informed my dad of the results because I was out of it. I am really impressed with him and his staff. The office is clean, the staff is very professional and his partner Dr. Byars is very nice too. If I wasn't already in love with Dr. King I would have Dr. Byars to do my surgery. Dr. King stresses the importance of After Care and explains the structure of it. He is with the Liv-Lite progran and they have a very structured program for interest, support and post op. My rating for Dr.King and his staff at 10.0. The only thing that I am reserve about at this time, Dr. King isn't playful but really this isn't a playful moment.

my first impression about doctor King was that he it didn't matter to him if i got surgery or not but as time pasted on i soon learned that he is a man that all about his business and he takes pride in his work. he lets you know up front that this is not a easy walk in the park. you are playing with your life and you could die. you lets you know that i'm going to do my job to the best and beyond, but there are somethhings i have no control over. he makes sure he is getting your full attention and that you hear what he is saying with your heart and you ears. i know no one can be perfect but the man is close to it. he has all of my respect. if some should go wrong it was not because of him. his office staff treats you like you are a person and not just a paying customer. you get good conversation when you visit. just remember you get out of a person what you put into a person.

he is do tall...... i was so excited about my visit i almost forgot the questions i wanted to ask him. he was point blank and direct. said what he had to say and then it was your turn. we talked for hours. i enjoy him as person and respect him as a surgeon. he said i needed help and was not able to do this alone and he was the tool that would help me. he help me to understand me and what was going on with my life. all my benefits out weighed my risk. funny, this is the first time the word out weighed has been a plus for me, again a big word. i am so looking forward to my surgery date and on the road to recovery and a new life. today is the first day of my 2nd chance at life.

sincerly,
stella l lauderman
