Bariatric Medical Institute of Texas Bariatric Center

First impression was that he was very interested in me and my issues. He was up front and honest about what he expected of me and what I could expect from him.rnrnThe office staff ranged from exellent to mediocre, but none were rude or discourteous. rnrnDr. Duperier was one of the few, or possibly only surgeon, in this area willing to operate on a 65 year old. He is part of of a Center of Excellence and success rates are important in maintaining that very select distinction so his willingness to help someone older and therefore at greater risk is commendable. My future health and wellbeing took precedence.rnrnI would recommend Dr. Duperier to anyone without reservation. The group he is associate dwith, New Dimensions has an excellent lifetime progrma of support which is vital to bariatric patient success.

I first met Dr. Seger at the seminar required by New Dimensions. He was the presenter for the evening as well as being the surgeon recommended by my PCP. His personality is just wonderful and I truly appreciated the way he stayed around after the seminar to answer questions. He went down the line (those who were waiting to schedule an appointment) and asked us all if we had any additional questions to ask and was willing to answer them all. rnMy surgery day went well and although I had some minor problems during the surgery, recovery went pretty well too. Dr. Seger is a wonderful surgeon and I can't say enough about him and what he has done for me.rn

Young, energetic and confident. rnrnHe seems like a compassionate man who has the respect of his patients and colleagues. Another doctor told me he felt Dr. Duperier had, \"integrity.\" rnrnWeight Wise staff has a lot of work to do to have a level of organization that builds patient confidence. Doctor's office staff, however, is wonderful and has been very supportive. rnrnWhat did I like least? He's 2.5 hours away from my home. rnrnWhat you should know? Talk to him. He seems to want to know what the problems are and he follows up when he does know. rnrnAftercare-n.a. rnrnAs far as I know there is an aftercare program in place for San Antonio residents, but not necessarily for outlying communities. rnrnHe was very straight forward about risks of surgery. The group as a whole seems to feel education is primary. rnrnSo far, I'm delighted. I have a number of friends who have had experience with this group over a long period of time and all of them have been successful and pleased. rnrnI think being a competent surgeon is of primary importance, but compassion and care help.

My first impression of Dr. D was at first nice. But what I also noticed about him he was very thorough in explaining and showing me pictures of the how the procedure will be done. Also he is very honest and up front about everything and I liked that. I saw him a second time during a seminar that he and another doctor gave. You can tell he is a leader and after the seminar came and spoke to my daughter and I. There were like 200 people at this seminar. The third time I saw him when I finally made my decision to have the surgery he seemed thrilled for me and told me that I really did make the right decision and that not only would I get rid of 10 problems associated with my obesity but that I was going to feel so much better. I really can't say I disliked anything about him. Being a nurse myself, I felt he was very confident in what he does.rnDr. Duperier's staff have been very nice and patient with me but I know they are very busy helping a lot of patients.rnI have not had my surgery as of yet but will write more in a couple of weeks. rnrn********rnrn~~During my surgery and after my surgery Dr. D. was wonderful to me. As for my post op checks Dr. D. was very reassuring about everything I asked. He was confident and seemed to know exactly how I was feeling.rnI would certainly recommend Dr. Duperier to anyone thinking of having Lap RNY. He came highly recommended to me from my Gastroenterologists.rnrnrnrn

I love Dr. D. He was so nice and informative the first time I met him. He came highly recommended from a friend. He took time to answer questions that both I and my husband had. He was a little overbooked that day but also took a little time out to chat with us about our new Treo phones and also recommended some software for them. I am lloking forward to my surgery and have no concerns about Dr. D.

After my PCP recommended Dr. Michael Seger for WLS, I decided to attend an informative WLS seminar in which Dr. Seger was the speaker. My first impression of him was he looked mighty young, but I found him to be very knowledgeable and experienced with WLS. Dr. Michael Seger is affiliated with the New Dimensions/WeightWise Bariatric Program. This program is a multi-faceted Weight Loss Approach in which you are able to attend to all aspects of care. The structured after-care program is designed to enhance the physical tool given through surgery, in order to help all patients attain 100% success. I highly recommend Dr. Michael Seger and New Dimensions/WeightWise Bariatric Progam to any person male/female in the San Antonio, Texas area. The staff is caring and patient. The surgeons are top notch. The pre-op and post-op programs are great! This facitily is a Center of Excellence and it shows!

My first impression of Dr. Duperier came a number of years ago-you see I have known him through my daughter and Dr. D being on the same high school swim team and playing Water Polo since they were about 10 or sornyrs old. At that time I had a very positive impression of the fine young man he would grow into. Never in my wildest dreams, would I have every thought that I would have the need to rely on him and his expertise to-if not save my life to greatly enhance & extend the quality of my life.rnHe is always plesant and encouraging, even if he is quiet spoken. Anytime I have called his office with a problem, he has always answered back in a very timley manner. rnI cannot praise Dr. D and the whole group(or you might say) family at New Dimensions.rnThey have a wonderful pre-op and follow-up system to support you for a lifetime.
