Blue Valley Surgical Associates Bariatric Center

My first impression of him was that of a normal surgeon. Good. Thorough! Blunt and to the point!

My impression changed on the day of surgery. He seemed very personable that day and caring.

His office staff was very nice.

The only thing I didn't really like about Dr Drahota was just that I didn't get to really see him too many times before surgery because I am from Iowa so we took care of the beginning stuff here. And then I went to Overland Park for the pre-op and surgery (so only one time down there and then surgery).

Aftercare was emphasized. The aftercare is done at the closest location to your home (which for me was Iowa).

The risks are definitely addressed.

I would rate him a 9!

I would have to say surgical competence even though bedside manner is nice. I would rather my surgeon know what they are doing rather than be happy and nice to me. Both would be great, but that is just a luxury!
