I`m still thinking about this. I`m just going to some of the Bariatrics Group meetings first. I want to get ALL the information I can befor I make my mind up about doing this. As soon as I do, I will let you know

What a great experience! A friendly surgeon and very willing helper. It was great to have someone explain everything to me, take time to answer my questions, and schedule my surgery all in one visit. I had to wait, only because I was early. My appt was for 1:30, and I was chatting with the Dr. By 1:50. For as busy as his office was, I would say that was quite timely. His office staff (and they seemed numerous) was friendly and effecient. I definitely felt comfortable with him, and now even more so with the procedure. More about him following surgery...

He is a very nice and confident Doctor. The office staff is very nice with exception to one that might of been having a bad day. Dr. Abboud asked where how I got to refered to him, I gladly told him I found out about him by this web site. The one thing I didn't like was that he wasn't up to date with his scheldue, Ha HA, he said maybe in two to three weeks possibly for surgery, but not true. He wants an egd test done and the earliest is JUNE 11. Maybe it will fly by. Dr. Abboud is a very nice Dr that makes you feel very confortable with him quickly.

DR. ABBOUD IS VERY KIND, AND VERY CARING. HE IS GENUINELY CONCERNED ABOUT YOUR HEALTH AND THE OUTCOME OF SURGERY. THE OFFICE STAFF IS REMARKABLE. I DEALT WITH NINA SHE IS TERRIFIC!! SHE CALLED THE INSURANCE COMPANY EVERYDAY FOR 4 DAYS TO MAKE SURE THEY HAD EVERYTHING THEY NEEDED FOR MY APPROVAL!!


I HAVE THE UTMOST RESPECT FOR DR. ABBOUD!! HE WAS A FANTASTIC SURGEON AND I BELIEVE IN HIM!! IF YOU FEEL GOOD ABOUT A DR. GO WITH HIM/HER. HE HAS A GREAT BED-SIDE MANOR AND IS ALSO A GREAT SURGEON. PLEASE FELL FREE TO ASK ANY QUESTIONS HE CAN ANSWER THEM ALL.

At first I didn't think he wanted me to have the surgery.
It turns out he just wanted to make sure I was serious and understood that
this was a serious major operation. From then he was
very nice to deal with and very informative


The office staffwere invaluable in getting insurance approval and very supportive of me.



He is very up-front about the complications you could have.
He wants to make sure you are making the right decision.
He stressed aftercare was very important. He does not
do the after care himself. He refers a another MD in his office who specializes in weight issues.
The other physician does



surgical competence is most important. If they have both, it is a real plus.
