Dr. Pecquex was exciting to meet she was very compassionate, understanding and she took time to listen to me not like other doctors when they say ok here is your script and i will see you in 2 weeks. She was not like that she took the time and spent it with me talking about what type of surgery would be best, and the treatment before, during and after the surgery. Dr.Pecquex is the best doctor I have come across in my lifetime.

Dr. Pecquex is one of the nicest doctors I've ever met. I was so afraid to have WLS, I put off the thought of it for years and years. I finally broke down and agreed to meet her after a high recommendation by my primary care doctor. I was a nervous wreck walking into my appointment. She walked into the room with such a glow. Her smile was amazing. From that moment I knew this was the surgeon who i was gonna entrust to to perform weight loss surgery.

She is very thorough during the Pre Op phase. She is dedicated to making sure her patients have no complications. When the big day came and I was wheeled into the O.R. She had that huge amazing smile again. She told me not to worry and that I was gonna do great. I did Super!!

If your considering WLS, Please choose Dr. Pecquex. She has helped me change my life. I'm 2 months out and down 55.2lbs Follow my journey at www.lessofmike.com.

Thank You Dr. Nicole Pecquex, Big Hugs!!!!!

I cannot say enough about Dr. Pecquex. Not only did she take the time to get to know me as a person, not just her patient, but she took her own time to talk to my teenaged children. She answered all their questions and tried to put their concerns to rest.
The night of my surgery, she called me in my hospital room. She was checking on how I was feeling, not that I hadn't seen her Residents and Interns all day. I really felt that she cared about me and not just someone she did surgery on that day.
She is very informative, nonjudgemental, and so caring. Too bad there aren't more people like her in the world.
I have to say she is unlike any surgeon I have ever met or worked for. She is a person too. She is not a snob! She doesn't have that "I am better than thou" attitude! Her parents did a great job raising a caring, loving, well educated, compassionate, woman. Not to mention she has great MK shoes!

Dr. Nicole Pecquex and her staff have become my extended family. From the moment I met with her in July 2009 I trusted that she knew what was best for me. Her nonjudgemental demeanor and caring voice and eyes convinced me that I was ready to put my trust - and life - in her more than capable hands.

Every meeting, every appointment and every conversation she was adamant that each and every patient take ownership of thier journey and understand from day one what was involved. She never led anyone to believe that success was guaranteed just because she held the knife (so to speak). I went into my gastric by-pass surgery just two months later with no questions and a very comfortable feeling. She was by my bedside when I woke up and that was a much needed comfort.

Dr Pecquex and her staff firmly believe in follow-up care. They have wonderful monthly meetings alternating between the wonderfully balanced Nurse Practitioner Martha Healey and the imensely knowledgable Dietician/Nutritionist Deirdre Riley. We explore our inner selves and the changes in our mental self in addition to our physical self. It's a safe place to express frustrations, gain inspiration and laugh or cry as needed.

If you attend meetings occasionally there is never any discomfort when you pop in. No pressure as to where were you last month or why haven't you been in a year. They welcome you at one meeting a year or every meeting a month as though your participation is all that matters and are grateful for your time - whatever it is you give back.

I've had the occasion to call the office after hours with surgery related questions and I thought the doctors on call were actually patients! They understood exactly what I was asking and answered as though they experience the procedure themselves as opposed to performing it.

I would, and have, strongly recommend the team at St Elizabeth's Center for Weight Control. They refer to each patient personally and not as another number. Simply amazing

From the first time I met Dr. Pecquex I was immediately put at ease. I initially met her when my husband had chosen her to do his surgery. I was skeptical to say the least. Dr. Pecquex was knowledgeable and explained everything in a professional yet easy to understand manner. By the end of the meeting I felt like we were old friends and I trusted her completely with my husband. I was so impressed by the entire weight loss program at St. Elizabeth's hospital that I started the process just a few short months after my husband had surgery. The entire staff was easy to work with and pleasant and fun. They were very thorough and made scheduling appointment very easy. I was nervous the day of surgery because I have heard mixed reviews of the hospital (St. Elizabeth's). I couldn't have had a better experience. I never felt like the doctors were rushing to get to the next patient and they would take their time following up with me while I was in the hospital. I appreciated that after surgery I was not left on my own to navigate life after WLS. While at first having so many follow up appointment's felt a bit overwhelming they always came at the perfect time- when I was at a new stage of eating foods, had questions regarding vitamins or feeling nervous because I was not losing as fast as other people I have read about. I would recommend the weight loss program @ St. Elizabeth's hospital to anyone. I can't really think of anything negative to say about my experience. The initial information that I was given about the surgery, what to expect, eat, FAQ's etc did have some spelling errors. Being a teacher I noticed that but my husband didn't notice until I pointed 1 or 2 things out to him and even then, it was not a reflection of the level care you will receive.

I had lapband 3 years ago and am now going for a revision (hopefully). Dr. Pequex is the best thing that could have happened to me. Throughout some very trying times, she has always been there. She has a great personality, very knowledgable and absolutely the best at what she does. She makes you feel good, not that you are a failure. She is so encouraging. I can't say enough about her and her staff (you too Susan!!!!) I would highly recommend her to anyone thinking about surgery.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE HER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dr. Pecquex instantly seemed personable, and like she really cared about my health and my progress with my journey. She was, and still is incredibly supportive with both physical and emotional issues/concerns (which is above and beyond her spectrum of duties.). I'd say, if anything, my impression of Dr. Pecquex has only gotten better over time.
The other staff at St. Elizabeth's were amazing as well. Martha and Suzy were both available and helpful whenever needed, and always responded to my questions or concerns in a timely fashion. Dierdre (Nutritionist) is always very encouraging and informative, using visuals to assist with portion size, and giving samples of vitamins/protein supplements to insure that all levels are being met.
The risks of surgery were described thoroughly, and aftercare was definitely emphasized. The surgery was described and emphasized as a tool... not a quick fix, but something that takes a lifestyle change, and lifelong work to be successful.
I would absolutely recommend Dr. Pecquex and the team at St. Elizabeth's for anyone considering any type of weight loss surgery. Everyone on the team, from Dr. Pecquex, the nursing staff, the surgical team, straight to the sanitation staff...were all amazing and totally helpful along my journey. :o)
