Dr. Adam Naaman, M.D. F.A.C.S. Bariatric Center

Dr. Naaman was very up front and serious about this surgery, that was my first impression. My impression didn't change, Dr. Naaman is very serious about this surgery and the follow up care, which I agree with 100%. Dr. Naaman's office staff is wonderful. Bernice and Amanda are the best. I can't answer the question: What did you like least about him, because there is nothing I don't like about Dr. Naaman. I was so nervous. We were an hour early for the consultation and I needed the bathroom so we went up and signed in. I was told that they were waiting on a form from TRC and that they couldn't see me until that form was in there hands. Amanda had called TRC 8 times that morning to get things ready but hadn't received the form as of yet. By the time my appointment was the form had arrived and everything was a go. Pam was very plesant and friendly with us. The office is clean and accomidating. Dr. Naaman looked me over and then went step by step through the WLS pamplet. Then asked if we had any questions. If was a great visit.

My first impression of Dr. Naaman is that he is a very capable doctor -- maybe a bit lacking in bedside manner (will know more after surgery.)
Dr. Naaman was wonderful in the hospital. He showed much caring and concern throughout the stay. He also made a point to stop by and check on me twice a day. I am very impressed and would recommend him highly.
His office staff is wonderful -- communicates well and is on top of the ball -- getting things rolling even quicker than I anticipated.
Risks associated with surgery were stated very matter of fact and accurately, based upon my research prior to the appointment.
I feel surgical competence is the most important aspect; after all, the end results speak for themselves.

After Speaking to Dr. Jaykumar I've decided to change surgeons. He insisted I lose 40 pounds before surgery, and although I am trying and I have lost some weight by the time I lose the 40 pounds I will be back in class and unable to have the surgery. So, I have made the jump to Dr. Naaman. I have yet to meet with him and will update more in the future.

Dr. Naaman was very professional and up front. He was nice and seemed very quiet. His staff was amazing. Bernice is very helptful and I have a feeling she would do everything in her power to make this go well. There is no aftercare group but he has a very structured aftercare diet. He gave me a booklet about the surgery and answered all of my questions. He was very up front about risks and when asked was also very forward with complications he has had during surgeries.

Dr. Naaman is a great surgeon. My surgery went well. He is always available for my concerns and questions and is always caring, polite, concerned and interested. He's a fantastic surgeon if you follow his program.

First imperssion and staff--
I first impression was good. I was referred by the insurence (off the record) to him, after I told them about a problem with the first surgeon. Had it also happened that a co-worker who had just returned to work had him too. I office staff has been good with one exception of one staff member but that can be expected. The office manger nurse and the other staff were great so they compsated for the other.
Aftercare--
He strongely emphasizes aftercare and the gave me all the information about the surgery taking into considertion that he was the second doctor and I already be thru the pre-opt process but he made sure to fill the blanks.
Rating--
Considering I have another doctor/surgeon to compare him to I would rate him a 10 and the first an 8. On a scale of 1-10. Pre-op

Well I finally met my surgeon, Dr. Naaman and his staff and he is so patient, caring and explains the surgery in detail and answered all my questions. I work with surgeons and know how ruff they can be around the edges but Dr. Naaman is not at all. I'm very confident in him as a surgeon and can't wait to here from my insurance co. so I can schedule the surgery. His office staff explained their part in this process and were very caring too.

I started off going to NeWeigh and met with Dr. Ferrari. The doctor was nice. My main issue was with the NeWeigh office. I got a weird feeling when I went in the exam room and it was so old fashioned. My blood pressure was taken with a finger monitor and there was no one around that looked or acted like a nurse. I was sent to the hospital for a sleep study and that was the real kicker. I did not feel comfortable with having to have surgery there so I looked for another doctor. That is when I found Dr. Naaman. He is affiliated with a REAL hospital and his staff is so nice. He has a web page with current information on it so I was able to get a lot of questions answered up front, view his cirriculum vitae, and see some pictures of him. I was and am very impressed.

I had my consult on 8-15-02. Dr. Naaman seemed to be willing to spend as much time with me as I needed. Since I had done a lot of research prior to our consult, I didn't have many questions. He was thorough and professional.
His office staff was great - spent a good deal of time with me regarding specifics of pre/post care, logistics of commuting 3 hours to the hospital, etc. All very thorough, caring and knowledgeable.
By the way, remember to wear a good bra, since he will listen to your heart, etc. I didn't, and boy, was my face red!
Overall, the doctor, office, and office staff were great. His bedside manner was appropriate, although I place much more importance in surgical competence.

Adam Naaman was my surgeon and he was the best. He is very attentive and caring. Walk, walk, walk is hi motto. I would refer anyone to him. He is vey informative. He will answer all questions and ease concerns. He is a very competent doctor.

I think that he is just wonderful! He did my friends surgery and she is doing wonderful.I felt very comfortable with him and I know he knows what he is doing. The office staff are just as wonderful as he is.
