I met her for the first time at a support group meeting. I thought she was very nice. Her and her father Dr. Goco, are in the practice together and they have done many surgeries with much success. I am looking forward to having my consult with either of them.

After my consult with Dr Kellam my opinion of her only improved. I really like her. She was very thorough. She answered all of my questions and was very helpful. If everything goes well I should be having surgery in March. I feel confident with the surgeon I have chosen and think that this is the right thing for me.

My first impression was YIKES...he is kind of mean. But then I realized that he was just breaking through the bull and making sure that I really wanted this surgery. He was not going to let me go through with this unless he told me all of the negative.

Dr Goco was very bland but direct and to the point.

I didnt know what to think at first, Dr. Goco was very to the point and straight up with me about all aspects of surgery.

After about 10mins with Dr.Goco, my impression was even higher. You can tell thtat he is very experianced and caring about his patients well beings.

Dr. Goco's staff is wonderful. I was greated with smile from everyone and everyone was very helpful. The staff treated me like I was someone and not just another insurance case like most dr. office.

The only thing I would tell Dr. Goco to do during the consult is to Smile a little. We a already sooooo nervus as it is. I know all surgons are straight too the point and all, but but I think this would help. Dr. Goco was very professional during the consult and I was very impressed by it.

Future patients should know that Dr. Goco is a wonderful person to meet and will be staight to the point about the implications of the surgery and recoveries.

Dr. goco was placed much emphasize on aftercare. He went into great detail about not over eating and what I have to do to make sure the surgery benifit me to the best it can.

Yes he does! Dr. Goco went into great detail about it also.

I would rate Dr. Goco as a 10 because of his credintials, knoweldge he shared with me about everything concerning the surgery. I would recommend him to people with the desire to have the surgery.

Both!

Dr. Kellam is a very sweet person, she took a lot of time with my husband and I and explained everything about the surgery. I really liked the fact that she was so down to earth, she included my husband and asked him if he had any queastions too. She never rushed us at all. She really put us at ease and made us feel comfortable and showed she really cares, it's nice to see a doctor who talks to you as areal person.
The staff at her office are wonderful! They are quick to call you back and very willing to help and I cant praise Amanda anough who dose all the insurance stuff and sets up all the pre test. she is GREAT! and on top of everything. And Teresa who went out of her way to set up all my pre op stuff even though she was getting ready for vacation she wanted to make sure it was all done right. The staff is real carring and not all bussiness like some you see they really care and show it.
I believe anyone considering this surgery can trust her and feel safe in her hands, Dr. Kellam appears to be a wonderful, caring, intelligent and brillant surgeon who really cares about her patients and shows it.

Dr. Lori Kellam is AWESOME. She takes the time that you need to understand everything and she is so knowledgeable. Her staff is also AWESOME, they seem to have such compassion for you and they are so effective. When you leave her office you are totally aware of what is totally involved with this surgery. Her suricaal competency has been checked out a she comes out a 10, plus her bedside manner is just as good. Sorry but I have had such a great experience with this office I have no negative things to say.

Dr. Lori Kellam appears to be a wonderful, caring, intelligent and brillant surgeon. i am looking forward to having my surgery done by her and the post-op treatment follow-ups. Dr. Kellam answered all my questions and addressed the seriousness of the surgery and the risks. With her combined characteristics of masterful surgical competence and caring bedisde manner, I believe anyone would trust her and feel safe in her hands. Amanda Pollock is an awesome person as well. She handles the patient intake and contacts with the patient. I have not experienced anything negative yet.

5-22-03 She is awesome. My surgery was only about 2 hours, no complications. She checked on me and my first post-op was great. I have lost 19 lbs in two weeks! She took the staples out and was very informative about my surgery and what to do next.

My first impression of him was good. I felt comfortable talking to him.

The office staff is wonderful and I have always been treated nice.

The only thing I didn't like was the long wait to see him. I am just happy that I finally got to see him.

He is very persistant about letting you know of the risks and aftercare program you must do. He is very persistant w/ having a lot of supporters. I like that. Yes he does have an aftercare program.

I would rate him probably so far a 10.

I will update more when I learn more.

Both.

I had my first visit on 02 12 2003. I was very nervous for some reason. I had all this questions to ask and I think I forgot most of them. But I have my list ready to ask on my second visit. Office staff is wonderful. There is something that is my concerned, he didnt say much re surgery, except for did you read the materiel?...
I had my Psy eval already and nutritional counseling and last week I had my pulmonary test. I have my stress test sch on 030603 and then 2nd visit with Dr Goco on 03 07 03 .

The lady name Amanda told me they will send all my ins info after 030703.
There is something that the Dr asked from me and I dont know how I am gonna do that. He wants to meat my parents before the surgery. I wasnt planning on telling my parents till after the surgery. My mom and dad are both sick...my dad is a heart patient and mom is suffering from a mental illness. I dont think either one will be able to handle this very easy, or understand what I want to do and why I want to have this surgery. Overall I think he is a good surgeon and he cares.

I had my first visit with Dr. Kellam on the 18th of February. She was very nice and answered all the questions I had asked her about the surgery. She went over the different types, I will be having open Roux-en Y. She explained the risks and the most important aftercare needed. Her office staff, Amanda is very helpful in getting all the info you need together and helping with insurance matters and getting everything together to be submitted. I look forward to getting a surgery date
