Dr. Canady is a very amicable and likable person. He was a wealth of information and readily answered any questions I had. Post op, Dr. Canady was available for any concerns or questions I had, especially when I was still in the hospital. The staff of Holzer Center for Comprehensive Weight Loss is extremely kind, considerate, and understanding. The aftercare program of Holzer CCWL is very extensive, with follow-up appointments at regular intervals, meetings with nursing staff, dieticians, doctors, social workers, etc. Overall, I would give Dr. Canady and Holzer CCWL a rating of 9 on a scale of 10! The surgery was done at Holzer Hospital in Gallipolis, Ohio. The only negative experience I had was after my surgery. I had a problem with a bleeding vessel in my intestine because of a reaction to the blood thinner given post op.

He was very professional and explained the procedure very well.

Every consequent meeting was as consistent as the first.

The staff is excellent.

Most emphasis was pre-op care AND after care. I will be going to group help sessions for over one year and many follow-up appointments.

The aftercare program is very structured and the staff follows up.

The risks of surgery were obvious to me (I am a biologist), though the fact that he still talked about them was comforting. Nothing was left to the imagination.

Excellent all around.

Negative? Not really. I dealt more with his staff, but that is to do with his organization.

I like Dr. Canady very much . He is quiet , and you may think has a dull bedside manner, but this is not so , I have found that he cares very much for his patients. When you go for your first consultation Dr. Canady prretty much tells you like it is. He will deliniate the risks and benefits of the surgery right up front.

Dr. Canaday is wonderful. He has a great bedside manner and explains everything; the good and the not so good!! The office staff is fantastic and extremely supportive. Thanks Pam and Teri for the encouragement and direction. In my opinion, you all are the BEST. Thanks, Kathy

My surgeon is awesome...I purposely chose him based on the glowing reviews about him and his practice. The 2 1/2 hour drive is well worth the trip to me. He was and continues to be helpful to me and was very informative and courteous to my husband. I could on for days about him but I think you get the picture.

My first impression of Dr.Canady was good . He seems to be a very down to earth type of guy! His office staff was very helpful and nice. He explained everything about the surgery, risks, and the aftercare thoroughly.I have heard alot of good things about Dr. Canady and feel very comfortable about him performing the surgery on me!!!

Dr. Canady was fabulous, and justifiably highly recommended by two co-workers.

Aftercare was terrific, and continues to be great, anyone within a two hour (or more) drive from gallipolis should at least consult with Holzer's Weight Loss Clinic...they are very efficient and do everything to get insurance approval...I actually had such an uneventful surgery that I cannot remember much more than discomfort...walked from ICU to my room (which was a suite, they must have been out of regular rooms!)

Was told everything, even things that did not occur to me to ask...never felt too worried, it is not my style to worry??

Had surgery on 6/25/03...my brother's birthday, he said I ruined his birthday...(he was worried)
Lost 108 lbs so far, and have not excercised like I should...have had no complications, and feel great...would do it again in a heartbeat because I felt like I was dying a slow death...gaining about three or four pounds each visit to my pcp, thinking I had lost weight, becoming more immobile...this surgery has saved my life, indeed it has given me a life!

Dr. Canady is a very professional and straight forward doctor.He is very caring about his patients and truly wants to see them succeed at their weight loss. The program pre and postop is very structured you are monitered very closely for several months and you can always call for any questions. If had to rate Dr.Canady I would rate him at a 10.This man has given my life back to me even saved my life.I highly recommend him to any one wanting have gastric bypass surgery.

Dr. Canady made a wonderful first impression. His compassion, competence, and courtesy shine.
Dr. Candy's office staff are amazing! They remember who you are, how you are, and you are NEVER just a number or a dollar sign to them.
There is nothing that I do not like about Dr. Canady.
Future patients of Dr. Canady should know that he is there to help you help yourself and that he is an amazing individual.
The aftercare provided by Dr. Canady and his staff is never ending. They provide optimal care.
As I live a good distance from the facility in which I had surgery I have not participated in any structured aftercare program.
The risks of the surgery were outlined to me very clearly and no medical questions were left unanswered. However, there were some more personal questions that I asked friends about regarding my life after surgery.
I would rate Dr. Canady a 10 on a scale from 1-10.
Both, surgical competence and bedside manner, are great.
