James Ku, M.D. Bariatrics Bariatric Center

Dr.HALUCK WAS VERY NICE AND EXPLAINED THINGS TO ME IN DETAIL. HIS OFFICE STAFF WAS ALSO VERY HELPFUL. HERSHEY MED. CENTER IS A TEACHING HOSPITAL SO IWAS SORT OF DISAPPOINTED WHEN I DID NOT SEE MUCH OF DR. HALUCK DURING MY DURING MY 4 DAY STAY. ALL IN ALL I THINK MY EXPERIENCE WITH DR HALUCK WAS A GOOD ONE.

The surgeon I will be using is Dr. Randy Haluck, MD - at the Hershey Medical Center in Hershey Pennsylvania. I have had two appointments with him so far and both went very well. He is very knowledgeable, easy to talk to and compassionate. He is one of the first surgeons in the area to specialize in the minimally invasive RNY. I think I have made a good choice of surgeon. He really hesitated when weighing the benefits of the surgery for me as opposed to the risks. He felt that I was lacking in some areas - meaning that he wanted to make sure that the benefits out weigh the risks.
I have asked about aftercare, but there is none affiliated with this hospital with the exception of appts with the Registered Dietician.
I have become affiliated with several support groups though so I do not believe this will be an issue.
The MS Hershey hospital is a very busy teaching hospital, so therefore I was kept waiting for almost every appointment there. Sometimes in excess of an hour, but I just took it in stride. Afterall, what is 1 more hour fat if it means a lifetime of thin in the long run.
