James Roche, M.D. Bariatrics Bariatric Center

I'll be very honest here. I was petrified to go see Dr. Roche for my consultation, because a friend who had him for her surgery had all this bad stuff to say...so needless to say she scared me. I went to see him (fear and all even brought a different friend with me for support and to ease my fear) and I am so glad I did. He was wonderful. He spent over an hour in his office with me explaining all the different surgeries and procedures. Was very understanding of the way I was feeling. Dr. Roche answered all questions caringly. You can see and feel by talking to him he really does care about his patient. He has a program called the W.I.S.H. program to work along side pre-op and post-op. His staff is very caring also. They are getting everything together. I'll be receiving the packet for the W.I.S.H. program along with appointment. I walked out of there very positive about everything and believe me with the fear gone :)
He explained in detail the risks of the surgery, but I am determined to go through with it. I would definately recommend him to others in this area who are looking into this surgery. I'll be going in for the RNY.
When I had to sign another paper for the insurance they told me at end of signing paper to remember it could take up to 6months depending on the insurance, but the one I have is usually pretty quick. All that I said to her was "Well I'm one day closer today then I was yesterday." I'll post more as the times come and things start rolling. My prayers are with all who have been through the surgery and in the thinking stages. God Bless and Keep Positive :)
