John Hollingsworth, M.D. Bariatrics Bariatric Center

Dr."H" is the nicest, most compationate man I have ever met! He answered all my questions, let me cry on his shoulder and I am literally trusting him with my life! All of the staff there are amazing and they treat you like a real person, they see the skinny person that is buried within all of us!! I have met some of his pre and post op patients and they are all beautiful people who are so supportive and generous in sharing their experiences. Dr.H demands that his patients follow through on post op visits and tells you everything about the risks/benefits. I would say that he and his team are above and beyond rating. He is very busy and most people wait a long time from the beginging of the process to surgery, 9 months but I went through in about 4 from the first phone call. These opinions are my own and I am still pre op at this point in time and I cannot speak for anyone else. I have had negative response from some family members and my fiance took a long time to come to terms with things so if anyone needs to talk, I am more that willing to help if I can.

Dr. Hollingsworth is a wonderful, caring, doctor. One who takes time to explain to you issues that you may want to talk about. The staff at the Cardston hospital are very professional and care a great deal about what their doing. Dr. Hollingsworth has been performing vbg since 1979 and first began under the training of a wonderful retired doctor by the name of Dr. Larsen. Dr. Larsen can still be seen walking the hallways, talking to patients in his lab coat. He's long since retired, but likes to spend time at the hospital. To be able to get into see the doctor, one needs a referral from their physican and there's usually a 8-10 week waiting period before the first consult. Dr. Hollingsworth is extreemly thorough and I would highly recommend him to anyone. He has his own website which a person can learn more about the surgery and even contact his nurse Dianna. Post Op is extreemly important to Dr. Hollingsworth and he likes to keep in close contact with all his patients. Dr. Hollingsworth's website is : www.weightlossurgery.com

I had surgery on Sept 12, 2000. The hospital staff were great. Dr. Hollingsworth is a very caring amazing man. He is very thorough. I was the last of three patients that morning to have the surgery. I had to be at the hospital by 7:00 and was taken to the OR at about 9:30. I was back in my room by 12:00 my husband said. My first thought when I woke up was that it didn't hurt as much as I thought it would. I had my own little pump and could give myself a shot every 10 minutes or so as needed. Getting out of bed the first time was hard it hurt quite a bit but the nurses will help you the first few times or your spouse can. I had surgery on a Tuesday and by Thursday I was wearing my own clothes and blow drying my hair. I got to go home on Saturday morning. it was a 12 hour trip home with all the stopping and such, but I felt really good. Today is Thursday and I am 9 days post and don't even feel like I have had surgery. Dr. Hollingsworth is a 10 in both his surgical competence and his bedside manner. Please e-mail me with any questions and I would be happy to answer if I can. Smiles Danielle

I have only met with Dr. Hollingsworth once,
for my consult. He was very nice and informative.
His staff was Great! The hospial was very
clean and updated, even has private rooms.
I feel very confident about the care I will
recieve. I have not been introduced to the
aftercare program yet, I will learn more about
that when I go back for surgery. I have
spoken with lot's of his patients and they
have all had WONDERFUL things to say about
him. He is also a religious man and says a
prayer before he performs the surgery. That
is VERY conforting to me.
I will update more after the surgery.
