John Roth, M.D. Bariatrics Bariatric Center

My first impression of Dr Roth was very positive. He was very serious about WLS, but not in a way that made me feel that this wasn't the right direction for me to take. He very clearly explained the entire procedure, which I had already heard him explain at an informative meeting I attended before I made my first appointment. He covered all the posible complications as well as the health benefits of this surgery.
I had no problems with the staff at his office or at the hospital. I felt I was taken care of quite well.
For the first year I had checkups every 3 months at which Dr Roth was very concerned that I was eating all the right proteins. I can honestly say he only lectured me about not eating fish, but I keep trying it.
I had one setback that I don't necessarily think was completely related to my WLS, which was my gall bladder had to be taken out. I have had issues with it for years and I finally had a surgeon that was willing to listen to me and take it out. Dr Roth did that surgery also. I can not complain at all about his skills or his bedside manner, he treated me very well.
I owe my life to him.

December 26th was my initial consult. He seemed really nice and of course I asked the same ole questions everyone considering a surgery asks (or at least I think they ask them) I was satisfied with his answers. I loved his office staff...even when I wasn't as prepared as I thought I was!! They treated me with respect. I don't have one complaint yet of Dr Roth. I too work in a clinical setting in a medical office and so I tend to be very critical of what people do or say. Even the woman who helped with the financial arrangements of the copay was totally nice and wasn't demanding of money or anything!!! They work well to make the patient comfortable with the decision they're making.
