John Snyder, M.D., Bariatrics Bariatric Center

I'm seeing a Dr. John Snyder of Anch. Alaska. I had my first appointment and was impressed with him and his staff. They seem very caring and were extremely helpful, making sure I understood everything he was saying about the surgery and all that goes with it. He was very adament about this being a long time relationship between patient and doctor and that he wanted to know how I was doing 5 years down the road.
He does usually require that he see you a minimum of 3 times before surgery date is set. Also he is pretty set on only doing the Proximal Roux n y and in using a 2 to 3 ounce pouch instead of a 1 ounce. So far I would give him a rating of great.
