Julio Tiexira M.D., Ph.D. Bariatrics Bariatric Center
My first impression of him was very down to earth and easy to talk to. As I continue to speak to him I became very comfotable with him. His staff is very nice and informative. My gastic bypass surgery was Aug 16th 2010 and I'm soo happy with the surgeon I chose. He's very compassionate and caring. After my initial surgery I had a slight complication where there was a blockage in my stomach causing me to throw up unable to hold anything down so instead of being in the hospital for three days I was there for 8 days. He came to see me mostly everyday and even twice in one day to see how I was doing and to keep me informed as to the steps they werre going to take to see whats wrong. He ordered an upper GI xray which showed the problem and then he knew what the problem was and now I'm all better. He is also the chief of bariatric surgery there at St.Lukes hospital in manhattan. He is awesome. I was so miserable when he came to see me and I was not able to really sit still and he sat on my hospital bed and said 'all we can do now is hold your hand thru this until we see whats going on'. I felt like he really cared and was really concerned and wanted to see what was going on and he did. I thank God I found him.
He is a great surgeon I would recommend him to anyone.
When he entered the room and began speaking I thought to myself is this man drunk. He spoke kind of slurred and slow but as he kept speaking my impression changed. He was very imformative and most of all he came highly recommended. The staff is very nice and as time went on they began to really show concern about your concerns. I really didn't have much conversation with him until my second visit to the clinic after surgery. The Dr, as well as his staff really informed us of all the good and the bad over and over. I think that Dr. T is great at what he does.
When i first saw my wonderful doctor i tought he was drunk but after i hear him talk and got to know him better i realize he had lazy eyes and a low voice, while he keep on talking and explaing the proceduce i realize he is a extreamly good doctor. He's office staff a real wonderful people that make you feel good speacilly Karen she is my favorite. If i say i don't like something about him i would be lying because he take time to talk to you and even give you compliment so you can keep on with this hard struggle which is the loosing weigth but thanks to him i have faith. What patient should know is that he is a very good doctor and please don't waste no time in doing this procedure.Hel tell you everything about the surgery present, the furture what can happend bu the time you come out of that first consultation you don't have no more question to ask anyone because he resume everything there is to know,he is the best i rate him 100% of the best, they are both
He was very informative. He is a very good doctor. The staff, for the most part has been very helpful. What I liked least about him was perhaps the fact that I don't think I receive enough personal(and this may be only my experience or that of very few others)attention...however, many would differ with me on this opinion. He is thorough and very competent! Still, all things being equal..I am glad that I chose him. Future patients should know that he is a fantastic doctor. He emphasizes aftercare very highly. He does have a very structured aftercare program. He informs of the benefits as well as the risks of syrgery. I would rate Dr. Tex a definate 9! His surgical competence is wonderful!
