My first impression of Dr. Gibbs was I thought she was a very strong, informative and efficient surgeon. She didn't smile much, but I just chalked that up to this just being the introduction phase. By the second visit, she loosened up a bit more. Dr. Gibbs is very serious about the job she does and I understand that there is NO room for era. My confidence level for Dr. Gibbs is very high and I look forward to my upcoming surgery with her. The office staff is a very knowledgeable and friendly bunch. Dr. Gibbs’ assistant Shawn is a jewel.

Dr. Gibbs, colleagues and office staff are big advocates of both group and personal counseling. I find the group sessions at Montefiore very helpful and informative. Having Gastric Bypass Surgery is a very, very BIG decision and shouldn’t be taken lightly.

I haven't experienced Dr. Gibbs' bedside manner as of yet but as far as my experience so far I rate Dr. Gibbs 10 of 10.

****UPDATED 2/19/05****

DR. GIBBS WAS WONDERFUL!!!!

I have to start out by saying that I have spent much time praying to God that I was making the right decision. And during my prayers, I asked God to put a surgeon in my life that is not only the right fit for me, but also feels a connection with me, and here came Dr. Gibbs. I actually had the opportunity to go with the more popular surgeon within her group but that's not what God wanted me to do. Dr. Gibbs' bedside manner was indescribable. I felt how much she cared in every word she said and every movement made.

God Bless You Dr. Gibbs.
