Doctor Sharf Is an excellent doctor. I was very pleased with the entire program. He explained everything with much detail and it went smoothly till the end. I can’t thank him enough for my life changing experience. I had VSG done on Dec. 24th 2019.

Dr. Kannappan and the entire team at Loma Linda University Medical Center are amazing!! They are very thorough from the very beginning of inquiring into the surgery, to the aftercare a year later. Dr. Kannappan did a wonderful job and thanks to her I'm my healthiest and happiest that I have ever been! For any concerns or questions that I have at any given point, even a year-and-a-half later, I can still in inquire and confidently know that I will get an answer very quickly. Dr. Kannappan is very thorough, even in the aftercare, to ensure that I am staying my healthiest and continuing to be successful. I highly recommend her!!! The only regret I have is not doing it sooner

On June 22, 2015, Dr. Scharf was my surgeon for my VSG procedure. During my pre-op and post-op visit he was always so friendly, encouraging and informative about the procedure. Not only is he a great surgeon, but just a very nice guy. I've seen him since my surgery on several occasions and he always asks how I'm doing, feeling and tells me how healthy I look. I couldn't have asked for a better surgeon better care.....he is a rockstar in my book!

Dr. Scharf, his office staff and the staff at the Loma Linda surgery center provided me with a very high quality of care. I had no complications and there was easy access to staff when had questions post-op. I still attend their monthly support group. I couldn't have dreamed of better care pre and post-op, I feel the entire team will be there to support me throughout my entire journey.

Dr. Scharf is a phenomenal surgeon who takes the time to answer any and all questions you have concerning the bariatric procedure you choose. He is affiliated with Loma Linda University Medical Center which is a top notch research hospital as well. He is a teaching Doctor so he typically has a resident with him and that didn't bother me in the slightest. It's as though you have 2 physicians present and I think it also speaks volumes for his capabilities concerning bariatric surgery. The surgical center is state of the art and has an extremely caring and compassionate nursing staff. I know many people fear going under general anesthesia but Loma Linda has you make a separate appointment at their center for anesthesiologist and they do a thorough medical history and tests. Dr. Scharf isn't like many bariatric surgeons who seem to drop you after surgery. His staff calls and checks on you and makes certain you schedule all of your follow ups and complete your blood work. They then make sure you come in annually to check for all possible deficiencies. They have a monthly support group that covers a variety of topics. Lastly, Dr. Scharf explicitly tells you if you ever begin to gain weight beyond the typical bounce back weight to not be ashamed and come back and see him so that whether it is an anatomical issue, nutritional issue, or emotional issue it can be addressed because he genuinely cares that you are set up for success.
